What is Laparoscopic Surgery?
Within gynaecology and gynaecological oncology:
- hysterectomy (removal of uterus and cervix)
- myomectomy (removal of fibroids)
- salpingo-oophorectomy (removal of fallopian tube and ovary) and ovarian cystectomy
- excision of endometriosis
- lymph node dissection for staging of gynaecological cancers
